Pastor Hunegnaw Bekele and his wife Misrak Desta have been serving as senior pastor and first lady of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Denver since the early 2003’s.Pastor Bekele is described as warm and compassionate by those who know him well. He was born and raised in Ethiopia and came to the United  in 1992.Pastor Bekele earned his bachelor degree from from Colorado Technology University and his master of divinity from Sioux Falls university.
